aFe is proud to introduce the all new Magnum FORCE Stage-2 XP intake system for the 2017 GM Silverado HD/Sierra HD (L5P) diesel trucks with the V8-6.5L Duramax turbo diesel engine. In recent testing this system outflowed the factory intake. This highly engineered system uses a powder-coated heat-shielded air box with a one-piece intake tube. Handling filtration duties is the Pro DRY S performance air filter that features 3-layers of synthetic "oil-free" media. The Pro-GUARD 7 media for maximum filtration and engine protection (US PAT 06811588) filter is constructed with 100% polyurethane for long life and multiple cleaning cycles. The heat-insulating, molded plastic intake tube adapts to the stock intake elbow making it easier for installation. The tube is also engineered for improved volumetric efficiency and maximum performance. Utilizing factory mounting points, this system provides a hassle-free installation. One Piece Powder-Coated Steel Heatshield: A one-piece powder-coated steel heatshield is used to keep the air intake charge cool and dense. Designed to bolt directly to the bottom half of the stock airbox. Huge 5" Flange 360 Degree Air Filter: A huge inverted cone 360 degree radial flow air filter is used for The Pro-GUARD 7 performance air filter features 5-layers of progressive cotton media with 2-layers of progressive synthetic media providing 99.7% cumulative efficiency for maximum filtration. The tube connects to the stock intake elbow for added convenience and quicker installation.
